Hi,
Born more years ago than I care to remember, I got into sailing rather late in life although there
had been early influences. I was brought up in a family of avid readers and I can remember
being excited by the adventures of the Swallows and Amazons in Arthur Ransome's books as
well as by the annual 'Blake's Holidays Afloat which always showed sunny days in the Norfolk
Broads.
But it wasn't until I was working in Saudi Arabia back in the '70's that I got the bug properly and
I taught myself to sail on a Topper dinghy whilst dodging the coral heads off the Red Sea coast
south of Jeddah. This lead to the purchase of 'Rahala', a 28' Twister, the completion of an RYA
Offshore course and a maiden voyage from the South of France to Saudi Arabia. That was the
steepest learning curve I have ever been on.
When I finished working in Saudi Arabia I sailed back up the Red Sea and spent 4 years living
on 'Rahala' in the Mediterranean during which time my daughter 'Leyla' was born.
As Leyla grew our boat appeared to shrink, and when she was three years old we returned to England and a life ashore and a long boatless period of life broken only by the occasional sailing holiday.
Around 2000 I purchased 'Nivram', a 27' Cutlass, and after refitting her, I sailed her off the East Coast and taught people to sail. But English summers, fickle tides and equally fickle winds were not my scene, so in 2005 I moved her down to the Mediterranean and spent the following two summers cruising the Western and Central Med.
In 2006 I purchased 'Lady H', a 36' Gib Sea, and here we are, a total of some 40,000 sailing miles later, ready to offer you a sailing holiday with a difference.

During the summer we sail with a crew/hostess to help make your holiday more enjoyable. Am not sure who it will be in 2012 but whoever it is I am sure she will make your time on Lady H even more enjoyable.
Hey! What do you mean 'ship's dog'? I am Jack Sparrow, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, and I took over this lowly vessel in June 2010 when she in harbour. She was easy to take. I just played like a stray, dehydrated and close to death, and the skipper invited me onboard. Since then things have changed, believe me. I am now world famous thanks to
Okay, so I was a stray, dehydrated and close to death, but you must admit I am now lovely! And so modest. Do you think I am a Leo?
